Web Design — Painting

Painting Contractor Web Design

Painting is sold on finish and on trust — someone is letting a crew live in their house for a week. Most painting websites prove neither.

Painting Contractor Website Design That Shows the Finish

Painting has a strange sales problem. The work is highly visual, but a photograph of a finished room often just looks like a room. The value is in the edges, the prep, the fact that the trim is crisp and there is no roller texture on the ceiling — and none of that survives a small thumbnail on a template gallery.

The second problem is proximity. Interior painting means a crew inside somebody's home, around their furniture and their children, for several days. The trust required is closer to hiring a nanny than hiring a roofer, and almost no painting website addresses it directly.

We build painting sites that solve both: show the finish at a size where craftsmanship is visible, and make the crew feel like people you would let in.

What a Painting Contractor Website Actually Needs

Show the work properly, make the estimate easy, and separate the two halves of the trade.

1

Interior and exterior as separate paths

Different seasons, different price points, different anxieties. Exterior buyers care about weather windows and prep. Interior buyers care about mess, timeline and who is in their house.

2

Galleries at a size that shows the finish

Full-width, high quality, and shot close enough that cut lines and trim work are visible. If your photos are the same size as everyone else's, your better work looks identical to their worse work.

3

Estimate booking with a date

Painting estimates are usually in person. Let people pick a window rather than submitting a form and waiting for a call back. The company that books the visit first usually gets the job.

4

Your prep process, written out

Every painter says they prep properly. Very few explain what that actually means. Describing your process in specific detail is the cheapest credibility available in this trade.

5

The crew, with faces

For interior work especially. Photographs of the actual people who will be in the house, in branded shirts, addresses the real objection nobody says out loud.

6

Specialty pages for the high-margin work

Cabinet refinishing, deck and fence staining, epoxy floors, commercial repaints, strata and apartment work. These are searched separately and they are worth considerably more than a bedroom repaint.

Building Your Own Painting Website?

A painter's DIY site usually fails in the one place it cannot afford to: the photographs.

The DIY builder route

  • cancelThumbnail galleries that flatten good and bad work into the same thing
  • cancelHeavy compression that destroys the finish you are selling
  • cancelNo estimate scheduling, just a contact form
  • cancelInterior and exterior mixed into one confusing services page
  • cancelNothing about the crew, in a trade built on letting strangers in

What we do instead

  • check_circleFull-width galleries shot to show cut lines and trim
  • check_circleCompression tuned so the finish still reads on a phone
  • check_circleEstimate booking with real time windows
  • check_circleInterior and exterior separated from the first screen
  • check_circleCrew photos and a written prep process that build trust

What Our Clients Say

“Pav and the rest of the Localframe team are honestly the best. I didn’t care about my website before they reached out to me and it’s been 2 months since we started working together and our business is getting 2x the amount of people calling in to book. It’s been refreshing to work with a team that genuinely cares about driving results for a small local business.”

Frequently Asked Painting Web Design Questions

How much does a painting contractor website cost?expand_more

Agencies generally quote thousands of dollars upfront. We use a monthly plan with no large upfront payment, hosting and updates included, and we build the site first so you can see it before deciding.

What photos do I need?expand_more

Fewer than you think, but better. Ten genuinely good project photographs shot close enough to show the finish beat two hundred phone snaps of finished rooms. If you can shoot the same angle before and after, better still.

Should interior and exterior be separate pages?expand_more

Yes. They are different seasons, different buyers and different objections, and Google treats them as different searches. Combining them means competing weakly for both.

Can it book estimates instead of just collecting enquiries?expand_more

Yes, and it makes a measurable difference. Painting is won by whoever gets in front of the customer first, so removing the phone-tag step between enquiry and visit converts noticeably better.

Do you build pages for cabinet refinishing?expand_more

Cabinet refinishing, deck staining, epoxy floors and commercial repaints all get their own page if you do that work. They are higher margin than general painting and far less contested in search.
